Floor furnaces only get clogged up or blocked if they are not properly cared for and maintained. It can be avoided. The best way to avoid blockages is to regularly check or inspect the grates for dirt, dust and other particles. If you do not want to do that yourself you can call a heating contractor in your area to help you maintain it. If it is dirty, always clean away the dirt. Floor heating systems such as this one should also be serviced once or twice a year at minimum.
If a home is to receive adequate heat in all rooms then the unit should be set up and based in a central position to all these rooms. This will allow the heat released from the furnace to circulate and be distributed evenly so that each room requiring warmth can receive it. Also place the unit somewhere that receives benefit for good ventilation. This way all the waste produced can be extracted out of the home enabling less of the heat energy to be wasted.
